Oral Hygiene at the Office

Posted .

Do you ever think about cleaning your smile more than twice a day? If so, we encourage you to do so! As you eat throughout the day, food particles cling to your smile and try to harm your teeth and gums. So, if possible, our Ashburn General Dentistry team encourages you to brush after lunch and floss as often as possible. To help you have the best oral health in the office, we have provided the following tips:

· Keep a soft-bristled toothbrush at your desk so you can brush your smile any time you feel it’s necessary. We also recommend keeping floss with you as well. It might even be easier to have a flossing tool handy so you can floss and work at the same time.

· Make it a priority to brush your teeth right after lunch. If you do, your smile will remain unharmed and you won’t need to worry about having food stuck in your teeth.

· After you brush, dry the bristles and keep the toothbrush in a travel container.

· Make sure you replace your toothbrush more than your brush at home because there is likely to be more bacteria in the office.
